A little K-beauty dilemma: you are looking at a row of lip tints, and every shade seems to be a slightly different version of pink. Then you try them, and suddenly they have completely different personalities.
One feels soft and easy. One looks like you are about to be the main character. Another is beautiful, but somehow belongs to someone else’s makeup bag. 😅
That is the part of beauty browsing I find interesting. We talk about the product everyone wants, but the fun is often in discovering your own tiny preference. A glossy finish or a softer one? A barely-there color or something you can spot from across the room?
Even the shade names can become a little story. A color called rose might make you imagine a quiet café afternoon; a brighter coral might feel like packing for a summer trip. The name gets your attention, but the color still has to feel like you.
If you are browsing a Korean shop, here is one useful question:
다른 색상도 있어요? — Do you have other shades too?
It is handy when the shade you came for is not quite the one you want after all.
What is your lip-color personality: soft pink, warm coral, deep rose, or “I somehow keep buying the same shade”? I suspect that last group is bigger than we admit.
